Standard Drum
Shield Setup Guide

We've Trusted Them Since 1998...

Standard Drum Shield setup is EASY and should take approximately 30-45 minutes for 1-2 people the first time. Active's shield panels are shipped with a protective paper mask to save you money and so your shield panels arrive pristine clean and crystal clear! Review our photo setup guide below.

Standard Drum Shield Setup Example

1. Open The Package On The Floor
2. Removing Protective Mask

Locate the package side seam up,
cut sealing tape carefully to open.

Begin removing the protective paper mask by slowly peeling from both corners.

3. Remove Panel Protective Mask
4. Remove Deflector Protective Mask

Help makes removal much easier.
Pull mask away SLOWLY, evenly.
DO NOT rush mask removal.
Mask removes easiest at room temperature.

5. Install Optional "T" Feet Supports
6. Install Hinges On Base Panels

Attach optional "T" feet panel supports
about 3" inset of base panel short edges.
Attach standard metal hinges to one side of
each base panel. Do not overtighten screws.
(Hint: Place so screw heads are on outside
for adjustments AFTER the drum set is up!)

7. Align and Attach Base Panels
8. Tighten All Panel Hinge Screws

Align and attach panels together.
There are many "tools" that do the job
of tightening panel hinge connectors.

9. Install Top Deflector Panels
Detail Showing "T" Feet & Hinge

Slip on white deflector connector discs,
and install top panels in angle slots.

A typical example of panel setup.
Note connector hinge screws facing "out".

Shows 'living hinge' option on mini-demo, a double "U" channel joined by durable, flexible web. Slips onto panel edge, grips tight. Provides ability to "Z" fold panels. (bottom "T" feet optional, extra)

Optional panel "T" feet (on left) raise drum shield set 5/8" off floor with silicone pads to grip and protect hardwood and soft surfaces. All metal hinges (right) attach quickly and securely with a coin. Extra heavy duty.
